Evil is the Absence of God

Creation is perfect in itself, without evil. In fact, the concept of evil is alien to creation, as it is good. Evil is only a man made concept, brought into play as a result of the absence of God, for God is love. I have a lot to say about this, but i would rather not. Instead i would leave you with this well detailed statement from Albert Einstein. Do with it what ever you may, then tell me what you think about it.

According to Albert Einstein, “Evil does not exist, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man had created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith or love that exists, just as does light and heat. Evil is the results of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

Puzzle me. Tell me what you think.

    • I don’t know much about Dostoevsky’s theories and ideas. However this statement is true on a deeper level, but flawed on a surface level. When one look at it critically, one may see that he is simply referring to God on the surface level. More like a tamer, or an oppressor. This statement humanize God, but God is not human. Might actually require me to write a very long article to explain this.

  1. ” If you love God, you can do whatever you want, because when you do something evil, this is in itself proof that you do not really love God. However, the ambiguity persists, because there is no guarantee, external to your belief, of what God really wants you to do — in the absence of any ethical standards external to your belief in and love for God, the danger is always lurking that you will use ryour love of God as the legitimisation of the horrible deeds. …his ideas are legit yet somewhat flawed like all of us. I don’t think he is humanizing God as much as he is making the statement of if you really believe and love God you could not imagine doing anything against him because you know everything he’s done for you .

    • The truth is you are right, and he is right. Perhaps the flaw i see is in the fact that a surface level understanding of his view could water-down, if not change the trajectory of the initial meaning, and intentions. But isn’t that the same with every other idea? People see what they want to see. Individuals only understand anything as much depth as they have met themselves. Thank you Jessiana, quite educating.

  2. What do you think of Buddhist dieties? I find them beautiful myself! Karmic reaction? I am careful here! Übermensch of Nietzsche is interesting as well, I enjoy this philosophy some! And New Born Chritian churches are SO entralling and healing!!! I even found myself at a Hare Krishna dance here in town, it was an eye opener.

This is understood! Evil is NOT created by God…..got it? Would it be Satan’s creation according to you?

Also, good and evil are from the fruit of the tree of knowledge.

    You got me typing lol

      • Oh, I was giving you an idea of how I think some plus wondering what you thought with certain questions, your church must be very great to attend, and you saying that God did not create evil is quite new to me.

      • I guess i will simply respond to what i got from this question, which is on the saying that God did not create evil.
When asked, what is good? I guess your response would be the absence of evil, and vice-versa. God’s creation is harmoniously good, as good is perfection. However as humans, we are subjective being unable to experience God objectively. We are easily corrupted, like a computer corrupted by a virus. This is how evil came to be, out of the heart of man. Evil is as a result of the absence of the love of God in the heart of man, just as cold is the absence of heat. It doesn’t exist unto itself, but use to describe the absence of something, which is why it is calculated in “minus (➖)”.
