What is honesty?
This simply means, the quality of being truthful, sincerely, and free from deceits.
Honesty is one of the rarest personality traits individuals could possess. It is a sign of discipline, and confidence in one’s self. These sets of individuals are one of a kind. One could even say they are divine, because one could almost easily count on them to be trusted.
Do not get the wrong idea, honesty doesn’t mean one can’t keep secrets, because that will in fact make one worse than a complete liar. Honesty simply means such an individual possesses the qualities of honour, and integrity.
Trust is not demanded, it is earned.
Only a fool trust blindly. Trust, once broken became very difficult to fix. It is one of the most fragile, yet valuable responsibility anyone could wield.
Honesty is a foundational virtue, essential for trust and meaningful relationships, or connections. This kind of virtue is a sign, and byproduct of discipline, confidence, and wisdom of an individual.
To trust could be naive, but we should trust anyways. Trust is not in never getting betrayed or disappointed, but in one’s own abilities to contain it. At the end of the day, one should put their faith in God, and not in individual.

Whereas honesty, and the following trust it nurtures has always been high on my list of favored character traits in others, it took me many years before I actually lived in honesty myself. Very thought-provoking subject matter.
