“The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” people like to throw these words around, but is it really?
This statement has been echoed as truth through hundreds of years, which has in return influenced societal values. But it is false. For example, if a human sees the wild dog as an enemy, while the wild dog sees the hyena as an enemy, does the human automatically recognize the hyena as a friend? It is obvious what the answer is.
Most individuals work with this view, without analyzing other important factors like, alignment in values, not just present interests. They unite against a common enemy, and when that has been taken out of the picture, they fight themselves, thereby creating more enemies.
When presented with a choice amongst two evil, what do you do? You choose the lesser evil? But there is no lesser evil. Evil is evil. Therefore, when faced with two evil, i recommend you create your own which is good. You don’t have to limit yourself to the choices you deemed evil. To do so is to delay your imminent destruction.
As an individual or organization, if good, should always remember why it is they do what they do. When fighting the wrong, one needs to be careful so as not to be in the wrong themselves.
