Humans are the most dangerous biological weapon of all time, as we are danger to both ourselves and everything around us. Mankind constantly craves freedom, yet freedom in it purest form, is absolute anarchy; a world for only the survival of the fittest, because inherent in the human nature, is the desire to do anything without the need to answer to anyone.

In such a world, courtesy does not exist, because it is run by pure ego. The weak would submit to the strong out of fear for protection of lives and property. In this world of total freedom, you are either a slave to your ego, or you are a slave to a stronger man. This is nature at it purest form.

In a world for the survival of the fittest, only true humility can sever the fate of such a world. When i say humility, i do not mean one born out of fear. It is easy for one to be polite to another simply because they need something from such a person. It is easy for one to be humble to a person or an ideal, simply because the person is more powerful than they are, or to go against that ideal comes with a severe punishment. This is not courtesy, rather this is manipulation born out of weakness for the preservation of one’s self. If reverse were the case, and they had all the power, they wouldn’t be polite nor humble.

Only those free from the chains of ego can be truly strong, because they are not bound by desires, and the need to prove themselves. And, only those who are strong can show courtesy. If you need to be afraid of someone and something to show courtesy, or one born out of desires, than you are weak, and you are not humble, neither are you polite.

There is a popular saying; hard times create strong men, strong men create easy times, easy times create weak men, weak men create hard times. Read this again. Do you know why? Because this is as true as truth can get. Love is not in weakness. Humility is not in weakness. True love is sacrifice. Courtesy is sacrifice; because it is the death of the ego.

This is the bed rock of everything which is good; the ideal society. Because everyone is a king, and a queen, therefore, a world without courtesy is slavery, knowing that man as an individual, alone, is not self-sufficing. Everyone is a dependent to another for survival, either directly or indirectly, hence the need for humility as a sacrifice, because the alternative would be fear and ego.
